Scientifically known as Fucus vesiculosus, dyer’s focus, red focus, and rockwrack. Bladderwrack is a seaweed that is harvested from cool waters along the Atlantic Ocean and it has been a traditional part of herbal medicine for centuries.
Bladderwrack has been used to treat array of conditions like iodine deficiency, obesity joint pain, aging skin, digestive issues, urinary tract infection and thyroid dysfunction, including hyperthyroidism, and hypothyroidism. Rich in vitamins and minerals, such as calcium, iodine, magnesium, potassium, odium, zinc, and vitamins A and C.
Bladderwrack can be added to soups, stocks, and broths, or it can even be steeped as tea.
